About
A strategist who has worked in more than one room.
Raquel Ne’Cole (Welch) is the founder of Raquel Ne’Cole & Co. — a consultant, talent leader, entrepreneur, and speaker who helps people and organizations get from what they’re trying to do to what actually gets done.
Who I am
Mother, founder, creator, innovator.
Raquel is a wife and the mother of four, a founder and creator whose ventures span marketing, design, food and beverage, and community programs.
She is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated®, and a chartering member of Jack and Jill of America, Inc., Greater Eastern Michigan Chapter, where she serves on the executive board as Recording Secretary. She is a past vice president of the Xavier University of Louisiana Alumni Chapter of Detroit and a lifetime member of the NAACP.
The civic work and the consulting work run on the same engine: youth entrepreneurship, nonprofit programs, and businesses built in the community she lives in.

What I do
Breadth is the point.
I have spent years working across people, talent, entrepreneurship, marketing, branding, business, organizational development, community programs, nonprofit work, events, and project execution.
My strength is often seeing connections others miss — how a hiring problem is really a positioning problem, how a stalled launch is really a sequencing problem, how the right introduction can replace three months of guessing.
I can walk into an idea, a challenge, a project, a hiring problem, or a business concept and begin identifying:
- What are we really trying to accomplish?
- What is missing?
- What needs to happen first?
- Who needs to be involved?
- What resources are required?
- How do we move from conversation into execution?
Then we get to work on the answers.
Background
Where the experience comes from.
Talent & people
More than twenty years in recruiting and talent acquisition — corporate recruiting, executive search, employer brand, and the systems and technology that make hiring work — across manufacturing, government, and nonprofit organizations. Raquel has built pipelines, redesigned interview processes, and led hiring for teams that needed to grow quickly and well.
Business & entrepreneurship
Twenty-plus years in marketing and business, five years in purchasing and vendor management, and a founder several times over, with businesses in creative services, marketing, food and beverage, and media. She holds an MBA and a B.S. in Psychology from Xavier University of Louisiana — which is to say she studied both the numbers and the people.
Community & programs
Nonprofit leadership, community program development, youth entrepreneurship, workshops, and mentoring early-career talent. Launch313 grew out of this work: young people with real ideas deserve real business education.

People matter. Strategy matters. Execution changes things. I help connect all three.Raquel Ne’Cole
How I work
Direct, practical, and in it with you.
I ask a lot of questions early because the wrong first step is expensive. I’ll tell you what I think, including when the answer is “not yet” or “not that.” And I don’t disappear once the plan is written — helping move the plan forward is a service, not an afterthought.
A good deal of this work happens behind the scenes — the HR, safety, operations, and design decisions nobody applauds but every organization runs on. Not everyone has to be seen to work.
Raquel Ne’Cole & Co. is based in Southeast Michigan / Metro Detroit and works with clients locally and virtually.
Recognition & media
Honored, hosted, and in the room.
